www.txrrhistory.com - Tower 214 - Houston (Galena Junction)
Tower 214 is also known as Galena Junction, and is located
in east Houston just north of the turning basin for the Houston
Ship Channel. It was established in 1966 at a major junction of
Southern Pacific (T&NO) tracks and the southern end of the
Port Terminal Railroad Association's North Yard. There was
probably never a manned, manual interlocker at this location.
