Modern Photo - Tower 165

The concrete culvert in the foreground was built in the 1920s
for the Texas Electric (TE) interurban
where it crossed a creek
at the site of Tower 165 in Corsicana. Tower 165 was
where the TE crossed
the Burlington-Rock Island (B-RI) rail line
at grade, a few hundred yards west of a grade-separated
crossing
of the B-RI and the Southern Pacific. The diamond
for Tower 165 was located just east of
where Commerce St.
now crosses the BNSF line in north Corsicana. Photo
