A Crossing of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad and the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railway

The Missouri-Kansas-Texas (MKT) Railroad and the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe (GC&SF) Railway crossed at grade in Gainesville. As MKT operations on their line to Wichita Falls were reduced, it appears the diamond was replaced with a series of switches to access the remnants of the MKT line west of the Santa Fe main.  Today, the concrete bunkers containing the automated interlocking equipment remain, and there is only a short section of the former MKT line still in use as an industrial track.
